Rasic Pattern

- Painted by hand without the use of guta. Painted with special colors for silk that will not fade

Rasic's pattern: as a sign of respect for Colonel Rasic, the weaver from Pirot made a completely new pattern, which she named Rasic's plate, and then she made a completely new model of carpet called Rasic's pattern. The carpet was sent to Rasic with the message that he will achieve great  success very fast. That really happened, he achieve success very fast. Rašić patern is one of the most difficult patterns to make.

I adore ornaments from my homeland, which I enjoy painting and incorporating into my jewelry. Pirot's ornaments are indeed special ones, and you can often see them in my work. Each ornament has a different meaning and story behind it.
The Pirot kilim is often referred to as one of the national symbols of Serbia.
Pirot kilims have 122 ornaments and they are one of the most important traditional handicrafts in Serbia.
